This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Create and uphold comprehensive project plans, timelines, and critical paths, ensuring they align with the overarching program strategy.
• Direct daily project execution by orchestrating cross-functional teams (developers, analysts, testers, and vendors) to achieve milestones and maintain quality standards.
• Tailor delivery frameworks - including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models - to meet the specific requirements of the project, facilitating relevant ceremonies and preserving backlog integrity.
• Actively manage the project-level RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) and escalate significant items to the Program Manager.
• Oversee configuration, integration, and release processes, which include planning SIT/UAT testing, defect management, and ensuring go-live readiness.
• Supervise third-party vendors and systems integrators in accordance with statements of work, while managing change requests to keep scope, planning, and documentation aligned.
• Generate precise status reports and dashboards, ensuring all project artifacts comply with PMO standards, templates, and governance for audit preparedness.
• Facilitate operational stakeholder engagement and assist in the transition to business-as-usual operations through training, cutover, and adoption planning.
• A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred (IT, Business, Engineering, etc.).
• A PMP (or equivalent) and an Agile/Scrum or scaled-agile certification such as PSM, CSM, or SAFe.
• 6 - 8 years of experience in project management, particularly with a proven record of end-to-end delivery of digital and technology projects.
• Demonstrated success in large, complex, and regulated enterprise environments adhering to structured PMO and governance frameworks.
• Practical experience managing projects across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, including overseeing sprints, releases, and testing phases (SIT/UAT).
• Capability to coordinate third-party vendors, systems integrators, and business analysts while ensuring requirements are effectively captured and traceable.
• Proficiency with industry-standard delivery tools, such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Confluence, and Power BI.
• Experience thriving in distributed or remote team environments, demonstrating resilience and skill in managing operational stakeholders.
• Understanding of data protection and privacy responsibilities pertinent to personal and project data, including POPIA.
• Advantageous to have exposure to AI or automation-enabled solutions, familiarity with GRC/LGC processes, or prior project experience in the GCC/Middle East.
