Technical Project Manager – Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Define the scope, objectives, and project plans in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

• Assemble and guide cross-functional teams comprised of data engineers, data scientists, and other technical experts.

• Monitor project progress, swiftly identify deviations, and implement tracking and reporting mechanisms for stakeholders.

• Establish governance frameworks, recognize risks, and formulate mitigation and contingency strategies.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, advocate for best practices, and stay updated on cloud computing trends.

• Oversee cloud data initiatives from inception to execution, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and scope-compliant delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 7-10+ years of IT experience in managing delivery and engaging with key project stakeholders.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing cloud data projects, including data migration, data lake/data warehouse development, data engineering, or data science initiatives.

• Practical experience with contemporary cloud data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Spark, Python, AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (Jira, Trello, Zoho Projects, Redmine, or similar).

• Experience in implementing and managing Agile engineering project best practices.

• Expertise in strategic planning, risk management, and/or change management.
