Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of delivery timelines for software, integration, and platform projects for retail clients.

• Keep project plans, milestones, and dependencies updated in project management software.

• Conduct sprint planning, standups, backlog grooming, release planning, UAT, and ensure go-live readiness.

• Detect project slippage, analyze causes and impacts, and adjust dates and expectations accordingly.

• Oversee cross-team and third-party dependencies, including technical work on the client side.

• Relay project status, risks, blockers, and escalations to senior management.

• Handle change requests and convey trade-offs related to scope, timeline, and resources.

• Establish and disseminate project management best practices, including Jira standards, RAID, status reporting, and release processes.

• Facilitate post-launch and post-release retrospectives.

• Develop and sustain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing software or technology projects alongside engineering teams.

• In-depth, practical knowledge of Jira, including boards, sprints, epics, dependencies, workflows, dashboards, and reporting.

• Strong familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, encompassing QA, UAT, and release management.

• Comprehensive knowledge of technical systems, APIs, and integrations.

• Proven history of managing and negotiating project timelines effectively.

• Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication abilities.

• Experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects across various organizations.

• Preferred experience in retail media, advertising, or ad tech.

• Preferred experience in account management or in a customer-facing role.

• PMP, CSM, SAFe, or similar certification is preferred.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
