Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the comprehensive delivery of intricate, multi-year implementations on the Evoke platform.

• Supervise the gathering and prioritization of requirements, ensuring they align with contracted scope and encompass acceptance criteria.

• Advise on configuration versus development trade-offs alongside Solution Architects and Functional Consultants.

• Manage complex data migrations, including mapping, mock conversions, reconciliation, and readiness for cutover.

• Evaluate solution strategies, pinpoint gaps and risks, while staying informed about Evoke releases and platform limitations.

• Convert technical trade-offs into clear, decision-ready communications for clients and executive sponsors.

• Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure.

• Create and maintain resource-loaded schedules, managing milestones, resources, and time budgets effectively.

• Propel the achievement of milestone completion and profitability targets.

• Control delivery in accordance with contracted scope and address any scope creep proactively.

• Manage risk registers and monitor mitigation across the project portfolio.

• Generate status reports for both internal leadership and client stakeholders.

• Assist in business development through proposal scoping, effort estimation, and project planning.

• Act as the main point of accountability for client relationships.

• Conduct weekly status meetings and facilitate reviews at the executive level.

• Coordinate resources and resolve cross-functional issues with Support, Solution Architecture, and functional leadership.

• Ensure a seamless transition to post-go-live support.

• Uphold delivery standards, documentation quality, acceptance criteria rigor, and milestone completion gates.

• Promote a disciplined approach to backlog prioritization.

• Hold team members responsible for task completion, deliverable quality, and professional client interactions.

• Anticipate milestone completion and financial burn in Workday Adaptive, and provide early warnings as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years managing external, customer-facing software implementation projects where the scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria are contractually defined, with accountability for schedule, budget, and client relationship management.

• Projects should encompass a complete requirements, design, build, and feedback loop, rather than solely the deployment of packaged software.

• Hands-on experience in complex data migrations from legacy systems is essential.

• Proven experience in managing diverse teams consisting of employees and external contractors.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in an information technology-related field, such as computer science, software engineering, or information systems, or equivalent professional experience in programming/development, solution or technical architecture, product ownership/product management, or project management of custom software projects.

• A working knowledge of cloud platform architecture, preferably Microsoft Azure.

• Demonstrable experience in managing agile and blended waterfall/agile projects.

• Ability to read and critically assess technical documentation, data models, integration designs, and workflow specifications.

• Proficient in Jira, including workflows, board configuration, and automation rules.

• Skilled in Microsoft Project and/or Unanet for schedule management.

• Sufficient technical fluency to identify delivery risks and assess proposed solutions.

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is desirable but not mandatory.

• Scrum Master or SAFe certification is preferred.

• Certification in Azure or low-code platforms is a significant advantage.

• Must have eligibility to work in the U.S.
