Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive project management from initiation through to planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

• Manage cloud and infrastructure projects, prioritizing VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) as the key platform along with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

• Implement structured project governance encompassing scope, risk, quality and change management, alongside stakeholder and communications management, as well as financial and KPI reporting.

• Apply established project management methodologies in both traditional (Waterfall, PRINCE2) and agile/hybrid models (Scrum, agile delivery frameworks).

• Support sales efforts by developing project and migration strategies, along with effort estimations, roadmaps, and resource models.

• Contribute actively to the establishment of delivery standards, best practices, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on project management experience in IT, cloud, or infrastructure projects.

• Strong technical proficiency in at least one of the following domains: virtualization & software-defined data centers, VMware by Broadcom (especially VCF), Azure and/or AWS, and Kubernetes.

• Proven experience in managing interdisciplinary, hybrid project teams.

• A structured and analytical approach to work with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and results.

• Excellent proficiency in both German and English languages.

• Ideally, possess project management certifications such as PMI, PRINCE2, or Scrum.

• Experience in consulting, system integration, or enterprise service environments along with vendor knowledge (VMware, Microsoft, AWS) is an advantage.
