Technical Project Manager – Advanced Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead several Advanced Development and Technology Development projects simultaneously.

• Grasp the equilibrium between innovation and progressive advancement.

• Initiate and steer continuous improvement initiatives related to Advanced Development and Technology Development methodologies, critical mental models, and toolsets.

• Oversee the transition from Advanced Development to the Product Development Process (PDP).

• Manage the creation of project vision and the change management process for projects.

• Take responsibility for Project Reporting communications to both Management and Customers.

• Guide and mentor team members in project management principles, essential processes, risk management, issue resolution, decision making, and more.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, manufacturing, supply management, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in Product Development-specific Project Management within a Technical Environment.

• At least 2 years of experience in a Customer-Facing or External Executive Facing role.

• Proficient in Japanese (both spoken and technical reading/writing) to collaborate with development teams in Japan.

• Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Proven ability to lead multi-national teams within a matrixed organization.

• Availability to work mornings and evenings to participate in meetings between North America and Asia Pacific.

• Commitment to obtain PMP certification within one year.

• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required.
