Technical Product Owner, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• As a Technical Product Owner (m/f/d) specializing in Java and Spring Boot, you will collaborate with your team and our clients to collect requirements and drive the implementation through to the release and ongoing development of a software application.

• In a project aimed at building the communication infrastructure as part of the digitalization of public administration, you will play a key role in navigating and actively promoting the digital transformation.

• Alongside colleagues and clients, you will manage the Product Backlog, which primarily consists of technical content, define ongoing sprint objectives, and plan releases.

• You will assess new requirements and translate them into technical user stories for our backend components based on Java and Spring Boot.

• Your strong communication skills will be essential as you serve as the primary point of contact for our clients.

• You will ensure stakeholders are updated on current developments and maintain continuous engagement with clients, Scrum Masters, other Product Owners, and developers.

• Together with your team, you will oversee ongoing quality assurance and the delivery of new software components.

• You will operate in a scaled environment involving multiple teams, subprojects, and consultants.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline.

• Experience as a software developer or preliminary experience as a Technical Product Owner is preferred, particularly in agile software development projects.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and software architectures.

• A passion for the digitalization of public administration and the application of modern technologies in the public sector.

• You enjoy tackling complex topics and possess strong analytical skills.

• A dependable team player with a solid quality mindset who enjoys engaging with clients and colleagues.

• You communicate in a clear, concise, and proactive manner.

• Willingness to travel and excellent German language proficiency (C2 or native).
