This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• You will become a part of the team dedicated to Grupo Boticário's Logistics Platform, enhancing and maintaining systems that handle millions of orders.

• We seek an individual skilled in the Java/Kotlin/React ecosystem who has integrated AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT) into their workflow to expedite code writing, test creation, and documentation, while upholding technical rigor and critical analysis.

• Engage with modern back-end and front-end frameworks, and develop or enhance backend applications in Java/Kotlin using Spring Boot, working within both synchronous and asynchronous architectures.

• Design and implement solutions that align with the product architecture, contributing to the technical growth of the systems.

• Operate with technical autonomy to tackle complex issues and determine implementation strategies.

• Ensure software quality through unit tests, adherence to development best practices, and code reviews.

• Investigate and rectify performance, stability, and incident challenges in distributed environments.

• Perform root cause analyses and aid in the continuous improvement of monitoring and service reliability.

• Actively engage in technical and functional refinements, evaluating risks and suggesting solutions.

• Collaborate with the team through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing, while mentoring less-experienced developers in adopting best practices and development methodologies.

• Contribute to the creation of secure, resilient, and scalable systems, addressing complex technical issues in distributed cloud applications.

• Monitor and address vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to security standards.

• Utilize AI development tools as productivity enhancers while maintaining critical oversight of the solutions they produce.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with microservices and REST APIs, in addition to messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).

• Understanding of distributed and event-driven architectures.

• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with Git and code review methodologies.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).

• Experience in application monitoring and observability.

• Capability to investigate and resolve intricate production issues, with a focus on performance and security.

• Familiarity with managed services such as RDS, DynamoDB, Cloud Storage, API Gateway, CloudFront.

• A mindset geared towards software quality, system evolution, problem decomposition, and abstraction skills.

• Knowledge of serverless functions like AWS Lambda, including best practices for cold start, observability, and costs.

• Strong aptitude for learning new practices, technologies, programming languages, and engineering cultures.

• Awareness of application security (OWASP Top 10, OAuth, JWT).

• Proficiency with Git or another collaborative version control system.

• Ability to conduct root cause analysis for software issues.

• Capacity to work as part of a team and assist in refining technical stories.

• Familiarity with information security patterns and practices (encryption, session management, access control).

• Understanding of quality practices such as TDD, Unit Testing, and BDD.

• Preferred: Solid experience with React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Strong experience with front-end frameworks.

• Solid experience with architectural patterns such as Design Systems.
