This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Articulate and share a distinct product vision for the platform that aligns with the objectives of the company and meets customer requirements.
• Develop business cases and strategies that influence the overall direction of Invoice Simple.
• Take ownership of the platform roadmap and guarantee the achievement of measurable results.
• Define and monitor platform uptime and success metrics (e.g., product team adoption, time-to-market, service reliability and monitoring, SLAs, and cost efficiency).
• Ensure that initiatives are aligned with enterprise OKRs and the long-term technical strategy.
• Prioritize tasks based on customer impact, developer leverage, and business value rather than solely on feature output.
• Create clear, data-driven frameworks for decision-making and trade-offs.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Invoice Simple's architecture, data flows, APIs, and system limitations.
• Collaborate with engineering to convert technical opportunities and risks into product strategies.
• Represent the internal product and engineering teams, recognizing their needs and challenges to guide platform investments.
• Integrate insights from customers, internal teams, and the market into platform investments.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle for platform capabilities from discovery through to delivery and iteration.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration among product, engineering, design, data, and GTM teams.
• Empower teams to deliver faster and more securely through scalable, reusable platform solutions.
• Conduct experiments and validations as necessary to enhance learning and mitigate risks in decision-making.
• Over 3 years of product management experience, particularly focused on technical or platform products in B2B SaaS environments.
• High level of technical fluency: capable of discussing system architecture, managing service reliability and monitoring standards, APIs, data models, and trade-offs with senior engineers.
• Demonstrated success in delivering platform initiatives that create leverage across multiple teams or brands.
• Strong grasp of SaaS metrics, product performance drivers, and platform ROI.
• Proven ownership mindset with full accountability for outcomes.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence engineers, product peers, and senior leadership.
• Experience supporting high-traffic, globally used products (e.g., 300k+ MAU).
• Background in balancing platform standardization with product-specific requirements.
• Preferred experience in supporting web and mobile platforms on a large scale.
• Knowledge of payments, FinTech, or billing platforms is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SMB workflows in trades, construction, or services.
• Exposure to tools such as Jira, Productboard, Optimizely, Amplitude, Looker, Heap, or similar platforms.
