Technical Product Manager – Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• **Role Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Product/Project Manager with outstanding communication abilities to lead a dedicated "pod" (team of 3-4 engineers) in collaboration with Tapi, a rapidly growing property management software company.

• This position is not a conventional Project Manager role. Tapi functions under a model where Product/Project Managers are highly adaptable and take on various responsibilities. You will serve as the primary liaison between the DaCodes development team, Tapi’s internal departments (Sales, Customer Success, Core Engineering), and, importantly, end customers in the United Kingdom.

• **Key Responsibilities****Pod Ownership (Project Management)**

• - Direct the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple software integrations (typically 4 to 6 weeks each).

• - Oversee the team’s backlog and capacity using Linear, ensuring continuous allocation and maximizing team utilization (“filling the Tetris blocks”).

• - Proactively provide updates on roadmap progress, time estimates, scope changes, and unforeseen technical challenges.

• **Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering**

• - Act in the capacity of a Sales Engineer or Forward Deployed Engineer.

• - Engage directly with Tapi’s clients (Property Managers in the UK) and internal sales/support teams (e.g., Taylor, Anna) to comprehend their use of legacy platforms (SME, RePIT, ALTO, etc.).

• - Transform operational requirements into comprehensive technical specifications and integration plans for the development team.

• **Technical Collaboration & Data Modeling**

• - Collaborate closely with Tapi’s Core Engineering team (especially leaders like Steven and Ken) to ensure integrations align with the platform’s evolving engine and central data model.

• - Identify gaps or challenges in third-party data structures and suggest standardized solutions.

• **Communication & Team Culture**

• - Actively take part in showcases (weekly/biweekly demos) to present pod progress to the broader organization.

• - Sustain fluid, asynchronous communication via Slack, fully integrating as part of Tapi’s internal team.

⛳️ Requirements

• **Technical & Methodological Experience**

• - Demonstrated experience managing software projects utilizing agile methodologies (without becoming excessively bureaucratic or process-heavy).

• - Strong proficiency with product/project management tools, preferably Linear.

• - Robust technical knowledge of software integrations, APIs, and database/data modeling. While coding is not required, effective communication with backend engineers is essential.

• - Nice to have: Familiarity with integration platforms such as Prismatic, and general exposure to programming languages like Elixir or Ruby to understand the client’s core technical context.

• **Soft Skills**

• - Advanced / Bilingual English: Required. Daily interaction with teams in New Zealand, Australia, and clients in the UK.

• - Radical autonomy: Ability to work independently. The client expects the pod to manage itself and proactively seek out tasks.

• - Strong client-facing skills: Empathy, patience, and the capacity to extract valuable insights from users engaged with outdated or poorly structured systems.

• - Adaptability: Willingness to thrive in a fast-growing startup environment, endure ambiguity, and adjust to evolving data architecture.
