This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Gathering technical inputs (such as calculations, computational models, etc.) to create comprehensive environmental and radiological performance assessments (PAs) and safety case evaluations.
• Collaborating with facility engineering and operations, regulatory stakeholders, and customers from the Department of Energy (DOE).
• Playing a vital role in achieving project and organizational goals as a team member focused on demonstrating long-term compliance in radioactive waste disposal activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Computer Science, or a related scientific field from an accredited institution.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Computer Science, or a related scientific field from an accredited institution (preferred).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience with the Department of Energy defense programs and chemical processes.
• Knowledge of flow and contaminant transport modeling calculations.
