Technical Lead – Databricks, Senior Java, Angular Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• As a Software Developer Principal at GDIT, you will provide straightforward solutions to intricate challenges.

• You will lead a team responsible for maintaining and modernizing applications within cloud environments, focusing on scalable and secure backend services for data-driven tools.

• Your role will involve building and maintaining Databricks jobs/notebooks and integrations that facilitate large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and analytics essential for backend services and reporting components.

• You will write clean, maintainable code accompanied by comprehensive unit tests to guarantee performance, reliability, and a consistent user experience.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including developers, testers, product owners, data engineers, and stakeholders—you will deliver high-quality software that meets both business and domain requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing, transformation, and analytics is essential.

• Strong expertise in backend services and the implementation of capabilities to support web applications using microservices is necessary.

• At least 5 years of experience with Java/J2EE (Java 19 or higher preferred) is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS, including ECS (building Docker images and deploying them in a cluster) and ECR (Docker image repository), is essential.

• At least 2 years of experience with relational databases such as MySQL and/or PostgreSQL (or Oracle 19) is required.

• Experience in designing and implementing data access layers and integrating with search/analytics engines for high-volume query workloads is needed.
