Technical Lead – Consumer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the technical roadmap for consumer services and APIs.

• Design, construct, and enhance backend and frontend systems utilizing React, Golang, and AWS.

• Lead design evaluations and advocate for best engineering practices within the team.

• Create quarterly roadmaps that harmonize ambitious modernization with impactful features.

• Provide mentorship to engineers through collaborative work, constructive feedback, and intentional one-on-one support.

• Collaborate with product, operations, and risk teams to align business objectives with technical execution.

• Foster a high-performing, cooperative engineering culture rooted in ownership and accountability.

• Enhance system reliability, observability, and scalability for high-volume financial transactions.

• Incorporate AI tools into daily development processes to streamline code analysis, refactoring, and feature development while ensuring system reliability.

• Advocate for automation, testing, and deployment methodologies that promote speed and confidence.

• Participate in technical design evaluations and ensure architectural consistency across services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• More than 3 years of previous management experience.

• Experience in leading technical initiatives or small teams, guided by data-driven decisions.

• Proven ability to translate complex technical visions into phased, achievable roadmaps.

• Expertise in React and Golang, with capacity to support legacy systems in C#/.Net.

• Strong database expertise in schema design and performance optimization (SQL Server, Postgres).

• Comfort in working across frontend, backend, and serverless technologies (TypeScript, AWS).

• Solid understanding of containerized services and event-driven architectures.

• Demonstrated ability to balance technical depth with business impact and effective communication.

• Bonus: previous experience in fintech, payments, or e-commerce.
