Senior Software Engineer, Cryptography

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to Bitwarden’s objectives by designing, developing, and maintaining essential hierarchies and cryptographic protocols that are both secure and efficient.

• Develop and implement secure key management practices across both clients and servers to avert key compromise and safeguard sensitive cryptographic assets.

• Assist in creating user-friendly APIs that accurately abstract cryptographic functions for other developers.

• Create and sustain comprehensive internal and external documentation and specifications.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate security vulnerabilities and issues that necessitate profound technical expertise regarding our systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency and experience in Rust, with additional experience in TypeScript and C# considered a plus.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing secure cryptographic protocols.

• Knowledge of OS-level key management APIs and secure storage solutions across various platforms.

• Practical understanding of secure key management practices, including key generation, storage, rotation, and revocation.

• Capability to assess the security, performance, and misuse resistance of cryptographic libraries.

• A collaborative and adaptable mindset.

• A combination of openness and authenticity along with exceptional communication skills.

• A passion for open source and a commitment to enhancing internet security.
