Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale web data systems.

• Identify, analyze, and validate new data sets that enhance value for our clients.

• Engage in creative problem-solving for complex system challenges.

• Investigate, validate, and apply cutting-edge techniques and technologies.

• Conduct code reviews, provide design feedback, deliver demos, and create technical documentation.

• Generate accurate estimates regarding project scope, time, capacity, and costs.

• Enhance the work experience of your colleagues by improving engineering productivity, minimizing operational challenges, and fostering consistency.

• Offer technical guidance and assist in the onboarding and mentoring of junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional development experience with Python, GoLang, Rust, or similar languages, with a strong preference for expertise in Rust and Python.

• More than 3 years of experience with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• At least 3 years of experience in web-scale data engineering, utilizing data stores like OpenSearch, Postgres (or PSQL), CockroachDB, and Spark.

• Over 3 years of professional experience with Kafka.

• More than 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix environments.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven capability to coordinate efficiently across multiple teams.

• A positive demeanor, strong interpersonal abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for collaborating with, mentoring, and assisting colleagues.

• Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality outcomes.

• A track record of high initiative and productivity that consistently adds value.

• A proactive approach to continuous learning, especially in unfamiliar areas.

• A strong passion for working in the security domain.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred).

• Experience in the design, implementation, and/or maintenance of CICD and microservices (preferred).

• Familiarity with data pipelines such as ElasticSearch, NATS, or Apache Airflow (preferred).

• Experience with data mining or machine learning techniques (preferred).

• Knowledge of text codecs, encoding, and web protocols (preferred).

• Development experience in Bash, Scala, C, or Hive (preferred).

• Experience in full-stack development (preferred).
