This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya, +2 more countries.
• Oversee INEE’s initiatives related to the Quality Assurance Facility for AI Edtech in Emergencies, encompassing both project management and technical leadership.
• Offer expert technical insights and direction in the formulation of components for quality assurance in AI EdTech, including benchmarks and rapid evaluations to define what constitutes "good" in AI EdTech during emergencies, while providing decision-grade evidence.
• Contribute subject matter and policy knowledge on specific thematic areas of Education in Emergencies to the QA Facility for AI in Emergencies, such as Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), School Safety, and/or Accelerated Education in Emergencies.
• Lead outreach and collaboration with INEE’s membership to gather insights on current practices, needs, and demands concerning AI EdTech in Emergencies, ensuring that project activities align with this feedback.
• Aid in the enhancement, deepening, and localization of INEE’s Network to involve stakeholders and decision-makers in Education in Emergencies contexts who may be interested in utilizing the QA Facility.
• Represent INEE, the project, and its partnerships at significant international forums to share findings, increase awareness, and promote the use of the QA Facility.
• Assist the INEE Secretariat in strategic thought and leadership regarding AI EdTech in Emergencies.
• A postgraduate degree in education.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of directly relevant professional experience.
• A strong theoretical and practical foundation in the realms of education in emergencies and EdTech.
• A proven history of managing and executing projects within the education sector across diverse contexts and involving partnerships.
• A comprehensive understanding of INEE’s operational methods and its role in the Education in Emergencies sector.
• A solid grasp of evidence-based strategies and research related to Education in Emergencies and EdTech.
• Capacity to be adaptable and work effectively both independently and virtually, even under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional analytical and writing abilities, including the skill to draft briefs, reports, and synthesizations.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, enabling successful interactions with a diverse range of individuals, particularly decision-makers in Education in Emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Proficiency in another INEE language is preferred.
