Technical Instructor – Fortinet Certified Trainer (FCT)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitates both in-person and virtual instructor-led training across various subject areas.

• Employs questioning techniques, discussions, and immediate feedback to assess participants' comprehension and modify instruction as needed.

• Exhibits effective classroom and student management to foster a positive and productive learning atmosphere.

• Keeps current with FortiOS (v7.x/8.x) and understands the overall direction and application of the Fortinet solution portfolio.

• Manages and resolves issues in student lab environments utilizing Fortinet’s cloud-based lab portals.

• Travels to customer training locations within and outside the Continental United States.

• Provides practical insights and troubleshooting assistance to professionals preparing for certification.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess Fortinet Certified Trainer (FCT) Status.

• Must be currently endorsed by an Authorized Training Center (ATC) or be an independent FCT with a valid trainer transcript.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in network security.

• At least 3 years of experience in delivering technical IT training.

• Active NSE 6 Certification (successfully completed NSE 4 and one NSE 6 exam).

• In-depth knowledge of FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls.

• Proficiency in Fortinet Security Fabric (FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiClient).

• Familiarity with SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA, and Cloud Security (AWS/Azure/GCP integration).

• Capability to articulate complex security concepts clearly.

• Active involvement in the Fortinet NSE community or participation in XPERTS summits is a plus.
