Case Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Collect claim data and oversee low to mid-level workers' compensation claims until the employee returns to full duty.

• Ensure the provision of appropriate treatment services in a timely manner, adhering to Ohio BWC Guidelines for compliance, company standards, industry best practices, and/or client-specific requirements.

• Acquire necessary elements for subsequent EDI submissions to the Bureau of Workers Compensation (BWC).

• Supervise medical-only and low- to mid-level lost-time workers' compensation claims with close oversight.

• Process workers' compensation claims by reviewing compensation receipts, treatment plans, facilitating services, and collaborating with all parties involved for updates and changes.

• Confirm return-to-work documentation through both telephonic and written communications and accurately record return-to-work dates in the system(s).

• Work closely with the Claims Management Team to manage claims.

• Assist other claims management staff with larger or more complex claims when needed.

• Refer cases for management and/or utilization management when work status changes due to medical instability or functional limitations.

• Appropriately document communications and claims management activities in the system(s).

• Respond to all inquiries within one (1) business day.

• Stay updated on BWC rules and regulations, the workers' compensation process, and CHS policies and procedures.

• Maintain professional relationships with clients.

• Meet and uphold productivity and quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Strong organizational skills are essential.

• Clerical or customer service experience, or a similar combination of education and experience, is preferred.
