This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.
• Acts as the Lead Associate providing administrative, reporting, contractual, and financial assistance to the department concerning the processing of payments to FSP investigative sites.
• Evaluates and approves payments, budgets, reconciliations, etc., in line with procedural documents and site agreements.
• Gathers data from various sources to review and authorize payments to sites.
• Reviews and endorses budgets and Subject Visit Templates (SVTs), as well as study reconciliations.
• May handle investigator payments, manage refunds, credit notes, late payment fees, pre-payments, or investigator reimbursements.
• Ensures compliance with country-specific regulations affecting payment capabilities.
• Oversees payment responsibilities and workflow to align with contracted timelines and project objectives.
• May handle escalations related to payment challenges.
• Appropriately identifies and raises project risks.
• Conducts training for study teams on site payment procedures.
• Trains and mentors junior team members.
• Master's degree, preferably in Finance.
• Previous experience in an international corporate setting, particularly with site payments processing, is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-management abilities.
• Proven capability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Flexible and able to adjust workload priorities to meet evolving business needs.
• Proficient in proactively identifying, addressing, and preventing project-related issues.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, requiring minimal or no supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach others.
• Highly proficient in extracting and analyzing relevant information from study documentation.
• Excellent technical skills with a quick aptitude for learning new software; advanced MS Excel; preferred experience with Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), Site Payment platforms, EDC, and financial systems.
• Good understanding of ICH Good Clinical Practices, Country Regulatory requirements, and applicable tax regulations covering all nonclinical/clinical aspects of project implementation, execution, and closeout.
