This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +7 more states.
• Identify usage anomalies, instances of over-provisioning, and underutilized cloud resources, and provide recommendations for right-sizing or decommissioning.
• Convert reserved instance strategies, spot pricing, and infrastructure modifications into practical cost-saving initiatives in collaboration with engineering.
• Develop and uphold cloud cost allocation frameworks across AWS, Azure, and GCP categorized by team, project, or service.
• Execute and oversee chargeback/showback programs that assign cloud costs to specific business units or projects.
• Work alongside the finance team to establish and monitor cloud budgets.
• Predict cloud expenditure based on usage trends.
• Generate dashboards and reports for leadership and stakeholders that detail spending, savings, and efficiency metrics.
• Assist with reporting on financial and operational performance at the executive level.
• Aid in cloud billing exports, invoicing workflows, purchase order processes, and audit documentation.
• Proficiency in cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience in infrastructure monitoring.
• Scripting capabilities in Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management.
• Skills in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL and statistical analysis.
• Ability to collaborate across functions, communicate with stakeholders, and influence both technical and financial decisions.
• Experience in supporting FinOps or cloud cost management practices in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
• Familiarity with cloud billing exports, invoicing workflows, purchase order processes, and audit support documentation.
• Knowledge of Cloudability or similar cloud financial management platforms.
• Experience in developing executive-level reporting and dashboards for financial and operational performance.
• Certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP), AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator (AZ-104), or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer are preferred.
• Relevant certifications in cloud, finance, or process improvement disciplines are advantageous.
• Must reside in or near a commutable distance to Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Dallas/Frisco, TX; Boston, MA; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Chicago, IL; or Charlotte, NC.
• Home internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed is required.
• Must work from a designated area free from interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
