Technical Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gain insights into the business, including how the trading activities of brokers generate revenue, by collaborating closely with the Head of FP&A.

• Take charge of existing financial models and enhance them for better performance.

• Familiarize yourself with the Snowflake data warehouse and the underlying data for each revenue stream.

• Establish strong relationships with business unit leaders and technology teams that provide data support.

• Analyze revenue breakdowns by client, region, and category, including transaction fees, payment for order flow, and interest income.

• Write and maintain SQL queries within the Snowflake environment.

• Develop and sustain forecasts and analyses to aid leadership in decision-making.

• Assist with cost analysis and respond to ad hoc requests from senior management.

• Automate routine tasks and implement checks to ensure data accuracy.

• Document financial models and processes for the benefit of others.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a financial analyst or data analyst role.

• Proficient in SQL: comfortable writing queries that involve joins and aggregations against a data warehouse.

• Strong skills in Excel modeling.

• A solid understanding of capital markets at a high level, including the functions of brokers, exchanges, and clearing firms.

• Regular, hands-on experience with AI tools (such as Claude) for actual work deliverables, along with an understanding of the necessary context and validation required for accurate outcomes.

• Must be based in the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

• Experience with Snowflake is a plus.

• Familiarity with Claude Cowork or Claude Code, including the creation of Skills, Artifacts, Shared Projects, and context files is a nice-to-have.

• Previous experience at a brokerage, clearing firm, or brokerage technology provider is desirable.
