This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as the subject matter expert and owner of emissions compliance pertaining to incineration processes and environmental permit obligations.
• Oversee and enhance PLC and plant control systems to ensure that all processing parameters function within permitted and validated limits.
• Assist sites with root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting related to plant downtime, emissions deviations, non-compliance, or underperformance.
• Take ownership of, maintain, and routinely update internal engineering procedures, standards, and work instructions to ensure continual compliance.
• Recognize and implement enhancements in engineering controls, documentation, and operational practices.
• Lead and conduct training programs for internal teams on compliance, controls, and engineering standards.
• Support company-wide carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives, especially those connected to energy consumption, combustion efficiency, and emissions performance.
• Provide engineering insights to aid sustainability reporting and project development.
• Collaborate closely with the IT team to ensure secure and reliable integration between plant systems and business networks.
• Required Education: Degree in Engineering
• General Experience (EMEAA): Emissions governance
• Engineering governance
• Environmental compliance
• Process control activities within our waste-processing operations, with a particular emphasis on medical waste incineration.
