This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of electrical substation projects, covering both distribution and transmission voltage levels.
• Create and uphold project schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk management assessments.
• Track project advancements and apply corrective measures to ensure adherence to schedule and budget goals.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status updates, and communication with stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities related to engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Supervise electrical engineering designs for new substations, expansions, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
• Evaluate and endorse engineering deliverables, guaranteeing adherence to utility standards and industry regulations.
• Offer engineering assistance during the construction phase and field installations.
• Act as the primary engineering liaison for clients, contractors, utilities, and regulatory bodies.
• Foster a robust safety culture throughout every stage of project execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Over 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in substation design and construction.
• More than 2 years of project management experience overseeing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of utility transmission and distribution systems.
• Experience in managing EPC or design-build projects.
• Capability to read and interpret electrical schematics, specifications, and construction documents.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling tools (Microsoft Project or Primavera P6).
