Technical Engineering Lead – Runtime Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of engineers focused on creating Sysdig's runtime agent.

• Take ownership of technical direction, recruitment, team development, and performance evaluation.

• Evaluate designs and code produced by the team.

• Assist engineers in overcoming complex technical challenges.

• Remain actively engaged with technically challenging, cross-functional tasks.

• Collaborate with product, detection, and security research teams to implement runtime-agent features while maintaining production performance and stability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading an engineering team, encompassing hiring, mentoring, and performance management.

• Significant experience in developing and managing low-level, performance-sensitive systems software using C and C++.

• Practical experience with containerized and orchestrated environments, including Kubernetes and containerd; understanding of cgroups is beneficial.

• Comprehensive knowledge of OS internals and instrumentation methods such as eBPF or kernel modules.

• Strong proficiency in Linux internals is essential.

• Experience with operating distributed systems at scale, including understanding reliability and performance trade-offs.

• Background in managing a distributed team and formulating long-term roadmaps and cross-team features.

• Experience in scaling a team amidst rapid product evolution.

• Skills in Go or Rust are advantageous.

• Familiarity with Windows and/or Mac internals is a plus.
