Technical Engagement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee various technical projects for a select group of named clients, focusing on strategy, migrations, IT transformation, and modernization efforts.

• Take charge of the complete technical delivery process, ensuring quality and timely execution is consistently improved.

• Hold primary responsibility for customer satisfaction in all named client interactions.

• Manage product requirements, technical factors, and decisions to achieve the desired outcomes for clients.

• Dedicate time to comprehend the client’s short and long-term business objectives, aligning Presidio’s priorities to foster immediate successes and establish a foundation for enduring achievements for both the client and Presidio.

• Facilitate and execute workshops for IT initiatives.

• Conduct technology strategy sessions for clients, effectively engaging C-level executives, architects, business stakeholders, and the client’s engineering teams.

• Proactively ensure that technology decisions, investments, and capabilities align with business outcomes.

• Actively seek opportunities to convert business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.

• When necessary, take the lead in challenging situations, collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to steer engagements toward success.

• Spend time understanding clients' organizational cultures and align Presidio’s delivery teams and processes to achieve the quickest path to success.

• Quickly integrate into the client team, project team, and culture, adding value as a contributor.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands from stakeholders while effectively resolving conflicts.

• Develop relationships with client stakeholders at all levels, including leadership, business, and technical personnel, to identify potential opportunities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients across the organization to convey product vision, strategy, features, prioritization, progress, and requirements.

• Conduct research to stay informed about market and business changes and assess their potential impact on current strategies and requirements, sharing relevant findings with clients.

• Review technology architecture, perform gap analyses, and outline future-state roadmaps that align with business goals, capabilities, and industry best practices.

• Simplify complex VMware technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-technical stakeholders and executives.

• Collaborate closely with Presidio’s VMware Architects to produce a comprehensive VCF Adoption Roadmap document and/or PowerPoint presentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10+ years of experience as an architect or technology program leader in delivering migration, transformation programs, or modernization projects both on-premises and in the Cloud.

• 5+ years of experience with VMware private cloud solutions (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF, Aria Suite, etc.).

• Proven experience in consultative delivery of large-scale business and technology transformation programs, working directly with senior client leaders.

• Experience in a consulting firm.

• Proficient in applying established consulting methodologies to evaluate a client's current state, design a target state, conduct gap analyses, and create a roadmap for transitioning from the current to target state across people, processes, and technology.

• A desire to create business capability canvases or similar tools and align business outcomes with technology capabilities and cloud investments.

• An interest in developing business cases, particularly those related to cloud solutions as part of a client’s cloud journey or digital transformation.

• Strong experience and enthusiasm for designing/implementing at least one of the following domains: In-depth knowledge of at least one of the cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
