This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the strategic vision, growth, technical proficiency, and organizational performance of a designated Practice Area.
• Set standards, methodologies, governance frameworks, and quality benchmarks.
• Act as the technical escalation resource for complex, high-risk, high-value, and strategically important projects.
• Manage technical governance, quality assurance, peer reviews, audits, risk management, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Propel innovation, capability enhancement, technical differentiation, thought leadership, and investments in services, technologies, and methods.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and client demands.
• Cultivate organizational technical capabilities, expertise, knowledge sharing, and professional standards.
• Collaborate with Growth, Commercial, and People & Delivery leaders on the growth strategy for the Practice Area.
• Establish strategic relationships with clients, industry collaborators, and key stakeholders.
• Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, service offerings, and growth strategies.
• Serve as a technical partner on strategic bids, account expansion, and integrated client solutions.
• Assist in the development, positioning, and commercialization of new capabilities and technical solutions.
• Assess growth opportunities, market investments, resource needs, and priorities for capability development.
• Lead and mentor Technical Managers and technical professionals.
• Align staffing strategies, workforce planning, technical capabilities, and resources with client requirements.
• Aid in recruiting, succession planning, leadership development, and talent management initiatives.
• Enhance communication, collaboration, decision-making, execution, and client outcomes across various functions.
• Provide support to project delivery teams facing escalated technical, operational, resource, and client challenges.
• Promote technical excellence, collaboration, continuous learning, inclusion, professionalism, and client service.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Relevant professional licensure, registration, or discipline-specific certifications are necessary.
• A minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in consulting, engineering, scientific, architectural, forensic, construction, or related technical fields.
• Leadership experience in managing complex technical organizations, practices, programs, or service areas.
• Established technical expertise and industry credibility.
• Extensive experience in developing and governing technical standards, methodologies, quality programs, and professional practice requirements.
• Demonstrated success in enhancing technical capabilities, leading innovation initiatives, improving organizational performance, and driving strategic growth in a professional services context.
• Capacity to lead technical leaders, build high-performing teams, influence executive stakeholders, and function within a matrix organization.
• Strong understanding of business operations, financial performance, resource planning, and client engagement.
• Experience in supporting strategic pursuits, managing executive-level client relationships, and driving continuous improvement efforts.
• Advanced technical skills, strategic thinking abilities, and sound professional judgment.
• Proficient in establishing technical direction, analyzing complex technical and business challenges, assessing risks, and making long-term organizational decisions.
• Ability to drive technical excellence through governance, quality management, capability development, standards, methodologies, quality expectations, and continuous improvement.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical capabilities with client needs, market opportunities, commercial objectives, operational priorities, and organizational strategy.
• Exceptional skills in leadership, talent development, stakeholder management, communication, relationship building, organizational awareness, innovation, adaptability, professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
