This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Serve as a hands-on technical expert in the field of road and highway design.
• Lead the technical decision-making process and establish a high benchmark for design excellence.
• Assist in the execution of intricate highways and transport infrastructure projects across Victoria and ANZ.
• Conduct design evaluations and implement value engineering/design optimization strategies.
• Offer technical leadership and strategic guidance across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Foster and enhance relationships with clients from Victorian transport, local government, and the private sector.
• Spearhead business development initiatives, strategic pursuits, and activities aimed at securing work.
• Mentor, nurture, and motivate junior and mid-level engineers.
• Promote innovation and best practices throughout a diverse range of projects in Victoria.
• Represent AECOM through industry engagement, client relationships, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Extensive background in delivering roads, highways, and transport infrastructure projects, with experience in consultancy and/or contracting.
• Strong technical proficiency in road and highway design.
• Proven ability to apply value engineering/design optimization techniques.
• Established experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong relationships and experience working with clients in the Victorian transport sector are highly valued.
• Demonstrated success in managing client relationships, business development, and securing work.
• Strong commercial insight, including project performance management and business growth strategies.
• Recognized technical authority within the highways and transport sector.
• Chartered status and/or RPEV is highly regarded.
• A commitment to mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
