This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead and cultivate a high-achieving Development team, offering management and support to team members.
• Convert fundraising strategies into annual priorities, objectives, and implementation plans.
• Establish clear accountability, workflows, and processes within the team.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop staff as the team expands.
• Oversee the stewardship of institutional funders, foundations, family philanthropies, and major donors.
• Ensure thoughtful, timely, and high-quality engagement with donors.
• Direct donor reporting, impact communications, and stewardship planning.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic donor cultivation initiatives.
• Enhance CRM systems, pipeline management, prospect research, reporting, and fundraising analytics.
• Refine grant management, proposal development, and reporting processes.
• Create dashboards and operational systems to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure compliance, efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across Development, Communications, Finance, Programs, and Executive Leadership.
• Contribute to organizational planning and ongoing enhancement efforts.
• Represent Imagine with professionalism, integrity, and a dedication to excellence.
• Proven success in leading development teams within a nonprofit setting, with direct management of multiple reports.
• Ideally supported annual fundraising budgets exceeding $15 million.
• Extensive experience managing donor stewardship programs for institutional funders, foundations, major donors, and philanthropic partners.
• Demonstrated ability to establish fundraising systems, enhance operational processes, and create scalable development infrastructure.
• Experience in managing budgets, departmental planning, and setting organizational priorities.
• Strong commitment to ethical fundraising, donor stewardship, and ongoing improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• An advanced degree in nonprofit management, public administration, international development, business administration, communications, or a related field is advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications are seen as an asset.
• Salary is competitive and based on experience.
