Director, Managed Intelligence Alliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily implementation of the Alliance’s four core pillars: Open Specifications, Capability Standards, Accreditation Programs, and Research and Intelligence.

• Convert the directives from the Executive Council and Technical Steering Committee into a detailed operational plan, timeline, and budget.

• Collaborate with the Consortium for Responsible IT Services partnership on the design of the accreditation program.

• Provide staffing and support for the Executive Council and Technical Steering Committee by preparing agendas, materials, and minutes, while also tracking decisions and follow-ups.

• Ensure that Working Groups function with established charters, documented agendas, and recorded minutes, remaining accessible to all Alliance members.

• Monitor quorum, voting, and decision-making requirements across governance bodies.

• Attract and retain Founding Parties, Alliance Partners, and GTIA Full Members involved in the Alliance.

• Assist in the publication of the initial open specifications and capability standards under the GTIA banner.

• Guarantee adherence to antitrust policies, accreditation criteria, appeals processes, and GTIA Legal sign-off requirements.

• Maintain vendor-neutral governance and ensure standards are freely accessible to GTIA members.

• Develop the Alliance Annual Budget and oversee expenditures within the approved budget.

• Leverage GTIA’s existing legal, finance, research, events, and marketing resources.

• Consistently align Alliance messaging and materials with GTIA brand guidelines.

• Represent the Alliance at GTIA events, such as ChannelCon, and in public communications regarding standards releases and research outcomes.

• Establish trusted working relationships with board members and transition the Alliance from charter to operational program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing or supporting a governing body through structured decision-making, including voting, quorum, and consensus processes, or equivalent cross-organizational governance experience.

• Strong understanding of, or the ability to quickly grasp, antitrust considerations in standards-setting or multi-vendor collaboration environments.

• Excellent stakeholder management abilities across vendor executives, ITSP leaders, and internal GTIA teams.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with the IT channel ecosystem or a comparable multi-stakeholder technology landscape.

• Experience in building or scaling a program, category, or ecosystem from an initial stage.

• Background working with or within a standards body, vendor alliance, or responsible AI/governance initiative.

• Previous experience in reporting to or supporting a board or executive council, or leading a cross-functional initiative with senior executive stakeholders.

• Degree preferred but not mandatory.

• 7+ years in a leadership position encompassing standards development, industry association or nonprofit management, technology channel operations, alliance/consortium leadership, partner ecosystem or program management, or a multi-stakeholder governance setting.

• Experience in IT channel sales or collaboration with IT Solution Providers (ITSPs/MSPs) is advantageous.
