This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee all activities related to reactor disassembly/reassembly and refueling for your designated shift.
• Install, troubleshoot, assemble, disassemble, repair, and maintain tooling and equipment at customer locations.
• Perform a variety of complex field tasks, including operating specialized equipment, taking measurements, compiling data, and executing tasks flawlessly in high-pressure environments.
• Create calculations, tables, reports, and related data; maintain maintenance logs and certification documents.
• Formulate procedures, problem reports, job hazard analyses, and field schedules.
• Engage in planning and executing projects, potentially handling pre-outage preparations.
• Supervise technicians, providing on-the-job training, conducting pre-job briefs, defining task requirements, managing performance, coaching, documenting performance, resolving conflicts among coworkers, and ensuring safety and compliance for individuals and plant equipment.
• Adhere to all relevant safety and health regulations, including personal dose compliance.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of supervised personnel.
• Work flexible hours and shifts as necessary to guarantee timely service.
• Travel to various remote job sites is required.
• Unescorted nuclear access is necessary (includes background check, psychological evaluation, and drug screening).
• High School diploma or equivalent educational background.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge in a specific area of commonly used equipment, practices, and concepts.
• Familiarity with company and industry safety and health policies and programs pertinent to specific roles.
• Exceptional communication skills to understand, follow, and implement directions, policies, procedures, and guidelines, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff, management, vendors, and customers.
• Specific technical training and certification are required.
