This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead a diverse array of initiatives aimed at expanding the firm's consultancy business within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Formulate and implement strategic plans.
• Propel business and product development efforts.
• Manage recruitment and development of resources.
• Assist in sales and marketing activities.
• Provide both internal and external training.
• Lead project management initiatives.
• Create a detailed strategic plan to foster the growth and enhancement of SGS consultant services in North America for the Pharmaceutical sector and its supply chains.
• Outline and execute a roadmap to translate strategy into actionable steps, including key milestones for business expansion.
• Engage in marketing initiatives to showcase thought leadership and enhance market presence.
• Offer technical support to the sales team.
• Aid the VP in crafting and executing comprehensive strategic and tactical plans for the pharmaceutical sector.
• Assess resource requirements necessary for business growth.
• Assist in the recruitment of consultants and experts.
• Ensure that technical operations and resources are prepared to meet key milestones in alignment with customer KPIs.
• Collaborate closely with the Global team to adapt global initiatives to the North American market.
• Identify skill gaps and spearhead the training and mentoring of current resources.
• Broaden the service offerings beyond consultancy.
• Maintain qualifications and consultant credentials for agreed schemes by participating in additional and/or refresher courses.
• Work in partnership with Sales and Marketing teams to define and implement go-to-market strategies.
• Provide technical guidance to sales, marketing, operations, and management as needed.
• Coordinate with Key Account Specialists to ensure timely scheduling of projects.
• Deliver consultancy services as needed.
• Ensure that consultants and experts comply with SGS global and local procedures and diligently follow specific protocols.
• Support and address client inquiries on all technical matters related to pharmaceutical consultants.
• Develop systems, processes, and procedures to efficiently deliver services.
• Actively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate effectively with other business sectors and functional areas to ensure optimal resource management.
• Cultivate a winning collaborative culture that embraces change, risk-taking, and innovative thinking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business Management, Operations, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical sector (Testing, Inspection, Certification).
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently (34%-66%).
• Proficient in advanced English.
• Strong advanced reasoning skills.
• Intermediate mathematical proficiency.
• Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of French is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of current standards and regulations in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
• Knowledge of financial indicators with the ability to analyze profit and loss statements.
• Capability to convert strategies into operational and tactical objectives and monitor performance.
