This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead problem-framing sessions, collect assumptions, and evaluate options for unplanned Medicaid data requests.
• Take ownership of and update the product roadmap with input from stakeholders.
• Conduct roadmap reviews to ensure alignment among partners.
• Convert policy and technical insights into requirements, acceptance criteria, and decision memos.
• Define and prioritize tasks in collaboration with the data science and data engineering teams.
• Develop a strong understanding of the team’s Python and SQL data pipeline to formulate actionable requirements.
• Maintain clear delivery expectations across partner teams to minimize communication and handoff issues.
• Manage the risk register and document key decision points and trade-offs.
• Oversee reporting readiness and the delivery process for monthly CMS reports, including the clearance and approval stages.
• Create and present leadership-ready summaries of complex projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from policy, technical, data science, data engineering, and government partners.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in delivery, product management, or discovery roles related to technical or data-intensive programs.
• Proven experience managing product priorities or roadmaps, including the ability to decline requests and provide rationale.
• Knowledge of agile delivery methods and capability to support planning ceremonies.
• Proficiency in understanding and reasoning about data pipeline tasks in Python and SQL.
• Experience in government settings; preference for state or federal health agency experience.
• Ability to engage effectively with high-profile government partners and manage high-stakes, visible programs.
• Flexibility to switch between strategic, high-level tasks and detailed execution.
• Strong ability to synthesize information and communicate effectively in writing for requirements, decision memos, risk assessments, and leadership briefings.
• Capability to navigate ambiguous situations and create clarity.
• Understanding of government operations, including the need for over-communication, anticipating obstacles, documenting, and ensuring follow-through.
• Comfort in collaborating with a strong leadership team and managing overlaps and gaps in responsibilities.
• Must conduct all work physically within the United States.
• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must successfully pass a public trust background check.
• Preferred: experience with CMS or other federal health agency programs and systems.
• Preferred: familiarity with Medicaid data or large-scale health data.
• Preferred: experience navigating stakeholder approval processes and formal clearance pathways.
