Technical Copywriter, Gaming – Consumer Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Create, sustain, and enhance primary messaging resources and frameworks for hardware products, software integrations, and global campaigns.

• Convert technical specifications and engineering details into narratives that are accessible to consumers.

• Draft and revise copy for digital product pages, Amazon listings, packaging, sales training documents, emails, paid media assets, and more.

• Generate long-form content such as technical guides, blog articles, and product explainers.

• Collaborate with marketing, brand, product, design, and software teams to ensure consistent messaging.

• Leverage SEO tools and AI-driven content systems to discover content opportunities and enhance messaging.

• Maintain brand voice consistency, accuracy, and tone across all platforms.

• Oversee review workflows and uphold editorial standards.

• Gather input from key stakeholders to refine and modify messaging.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional technical writing skills with the ability to convert complex technical concepts into consumer-focused stories.

• Demonstrated experience in writing for gaming peripherals, consumer electronics, or video games.

• 3–5 years of professional writing experience, including at least 2 years in consumer tech, gaming hardware, software, or related industries.

• Proficiency in grammar, editing, and brand voice development with a keen eye for detail.

• Capability to manage various projects in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with agentic AI workflows for content ideation and technical summarization.

• Experience with SEO tools and workflows for content enhancement.

• Capacity to adhere to established style guides (AP and brand-specific).

• Enthusiasm for gaming, esports, or advanced consumer technology.

• A collaborative communicator who excels in cross-functional settings.
