Technical Content Creator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of producing technical content, including blog posts, long-form articles, tutorials, demo scripts, and use-case write-ups for Altimate Code.

• Develop original content ideas rooted in the real-time happenings of the data engineering ecosystem, creating innovative, opinionated, and practical content for practitioners.

• Dive deep into the product: install it, run it, break it, and understand it thoroughly. You should be capable of writing a hands-on tutorial without requiring engineering assistance.

• Contribute to video and multimedia resources: create use-case videos, GIFs for the website, and demo walkthroughs.

• Assist with SEO and AEO initiatives: write content that appeals to both human readers and generative search engines.

• Aid in establishing a repeatable content generation process: develop templates, an editorial workflow, a content calendar, and a distribution checklist.

• Distribute content effectively across platforms such as Reddit, LinkedIn, Hashnode, dbt Slack, and our email program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess hands-on technical expertise in the modern data stack. You have experience with at least some of the following: dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, SQL at scale, Python data tools. You can comprehend a SQL transformation, a YAML model file, or a Python notebook.

• Excellent writing skills. You can create a 1,200-word technical article that a data engineer would find engaging, featuring a clear structure, a distinct viewpoint, and no unnecessary content.

• Capability to learn a product thoroughly and independently. You install software, read documentation, and appreciate the user experience.

• Comfort with AI tools as facilitators. Tools like Claude and Cursor are part of your workflow, but the ideas, judgment, and technical accuracy originate from you.

• Self-motivated. You can take a brief and deliver results, identify blockers early, and you don't require daily check-ins, proactively pushing content through the review process.
