This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You evaluate processes and data structures across various medical fields.
• By collaborating closely with clinicians, you gather and organize clinical documentation requirements.
• You facilitate the application and advancement of clinical information models and terminologies to ensure semantic interoperability, working hand-in-hand with national and international standardization efforts.
• You assist in translating between various data models and standards.
• You develop data integration pipelines that connect proprietary systems with open data standards.
• You provide guidance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding medical data structures, especially in relation to analytics, machine learning, and decision support systems.
• You conduct training sessions for internal and external users focusing on data modeling.
• A completed degree, preferably centered on medicine, medical informatics, or medical information management.
• You are ready to engage intensively in interdisciplinary teams to model clinical data using openEHR, FHIR, and terminologies (e.g., ICD, SNOMED CT, LOINC).
• You possess a strong understanding of essential computer science methods (programming, scripting, databases, system administration).
• You have hands-on experience integrating clinical data with common tools such as Apache NiFi, MapForce, Microsoft SSIS, KNIME, or similar.
• Ideally, you have practical exposure to workflows and documentation within a hospital setting.
• Experience with complex clinical application systems (from either a user or administrator standpoint) is preferred.
• You exhibit a strong sense of self-initiative.
• You communicate effectively with various stakeholders and can convey intricate topics in a clear manner.
• You are fluent in both German and English.
