Mid-level Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee dependable data pipelines that involve the ingestion/collection, processing, integration, storage, and distribution of data throughout the organization.

• Operate within a distributed systems architecture designed for massively parallel data processing (MPP), integrating various heterogeneous data sources and collaborating with analytics and data science teams to create solutions and derive data-driven insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with the ingestion, integration, processing, and storage of substantial data volumes;

• Background in Big Data projects;

• Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD).

• Proficient in data extraction using Python and data processing with PySpark;

• Experience utilizing ETL tools;

• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling (Data Warehouse);

• Proficient with SQL databases;

• Experience with Big Data-related AWS tools, including EMR, Kinesis, Redshift, S3, Glue, and Elasticsearch;

• Knowledge of Kafka;

• Familiarity with Data Lake and DataOps.

• Preferred/Differential: AWS certifications;

• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code cloud provisioning tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
