Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Transfer customer data from legacy or source systems to the platform, which includes creating and debugging custom scripts.

• Develop and execute SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate customer data effectively.

• Set up and configure new customer systems and environments as part of the implementation process.

• Transition databases to the Azure cloud platform.

• Engage directly with customers regarding their requirements, timelines, and expectations.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Implementation teams to identify risks and ensure timely delivery.

• Keep current with products, tools, and migration methodologies.

• Maintain activity reports and project documentation in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Adhere to company security policies, safeguard customer data, and report any issues.

• Execute customer data migrations, system implementations, and internal technical projects while ensuring they remain on schedule, within budget, and operate smoothly.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in technical consulting or data engineering is preferred.

• Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting SQL, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes.

• Basic understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and tools such as Postman.

• Fundamental knowledge of IIS.

• Comfortable communicating technical requirements to customers.

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks effectively.

• Experience with an ETL toolset like SSIS would be a great advantage.

• Familiarity with other RDBMS platforms such as Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres would be beneficial.

• Experience with BI tools such as PowerBI, Sigma, and Izenda would be impressive.

• Knowledge of EDI/integration platforms like Boomi would be advantageous.

• Advanced skills in Excel and data manipulation would be a plus.
