This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Create and implement strategic initiatives to identify, engage, and collaborate with engineering firms, design consultants, and infrastructure planners in the designated region.
• Establish and nurture relationships with consulting engineers, providing them with education on ADS technologies.
• Deliver technical presentations, conduct lunch-and-learn sessions, host webinars, and lead educational workshops.
• Collaborate with product management and ADS engineering to develop technical documentation.
• Drive opportunities for adoption-based sales of ADS monitoring and software solutions.
• Work alongside regional sales teams to transform engineering influence into project successes and revenue enhancement.
• Formulate and implement account strategies for targeted engineering and consulting firms.
• Oversee project activities and influence projects from the planning phase through design and execution.
• Advocate for ADS Environmental’s portfolio, which includes monitoring, data collection, software, analytics, and upcoming technologies.
• Offer technical advice on the design of monitoring programs, data analysis, and system optimization.
• Aid customers and consulting engineers in addressing monitoring needs and providing technical guidance.
• Convert customer business challenges into effective technical solutions.
• Assist with RFQs, RFPs, proposals, and bid submissions.
• Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, funding opportunities, and municipal infrastructure priorities.
• Engage in industry organizations, conferences, engineering society gatherings, and trade associations.
• Gather competitive intelligence and share market insights.
• Collaborate with channel partners, product management, engineering, sales, and operations teams.
• Relay customer feedback to internal teams and aid in the creation of technical documentation.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering: Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Water Resources Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Over 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, engineering consulting, or infrastructure solutions.
• Proven experience in establishing relationships with engineering firms and consultants.
• Comprehensive understanding of municipal wastewater, stormwater, and water utility infrastructure.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as necessary.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Experience with flow monitoring, level monitoring, collection systems, stormwater systems, or environmental monitoring technologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with hydraulic modeling, infrastructure evaluation, or smart water solutions is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with municipal engineering departments and consulting engineering firms is preferred.
• Knowledge of asset management, data analytics, or SaaS-based monitoring platforms is preferred.
