This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Gather, analyze, and document intricate business and technical requirements from multiple stakeholders to facilitate data integration and reporting efforts.
β’ Work alongside data engineering teams to define, test, and verify data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various sources (such as EHRs, claims data, and clinical systems) into the enterprise data warehouse.
β’ Assist in the design of data models and database architectures, including the definition of primary keys, indexing strategies, and normalization processes to enhance data storage and retrieval efficiency.
β’ Deliver specifications and support the development, maintenance, and optimization of SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts utilized for data analysis and reporting.
β’ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data flow diagrams, source-to-target mapping documents, and operational procedures, to ensure clarity and reproducibility of data processes.
β’ Establish specifications for reports and dashboards (utilizing tools like Power BI or Tableau) and collaborate with development teams to produce visualizations that present complex healthcare data in a user-friendly manner for informed decision-making.
β’ Conduct data profiling, quality assessments, and gap analyses to identify discrepancies and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across systems, in compliance with DHA data governance standards.
β’ Formulate test plans and cases and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) using SQL scripts to validate solutions prior to deployment.
β’ Lead meetings and act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical personnel (such as clinicians and managers) to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Business, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
β’ 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a healthcare or defense setting, with a strong focus on data analysis and technical team support.
β’ Strong command of SQL for data querying and analysis.
β’ Familiarity with ETL frameworks and data warehousing principles.
β’ Experience with data visualization tools (such as Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous.
β’ Knowledge of healthcare operations, data privacy regulations (like HIPAA), and a working understanding of the Military Health System (MHS) or DHA operations is highly preferred.
β’ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
β’ Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; Active Secret Clearance is preferred.
