Technical Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Define, manage, and deliver digital product requirements that align with business objectives and promote operational excellence in the financial sector.

• Identify, analyze, and shape business needs to provide measurable value and enhance end-to-end processes.

• Oversee and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap.

• Balance business value, risks, dependencies, and operational limitations.

• Facilitate discovery workshops and assess AS-IS processes.

• Define optimized TO-BE solutions, including process flows, user journeys, data flows, API requirements, and system interactions.

• Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Establish API and integration requirements, data mappings, request-response flows, and expected system behaviors.

• Convert requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, API use cases, and test scenarios.

• Collaborate with both internal teams and external providers.

• Prepare requirement packages and validate delivered solutions.

• Assist with API and system integration validation, integration testing, and analysis of API responses and errors.

• Support UAT cycles, training, communication, and the adoption of new capabilities.

• Provide ongoing application support and analyze recurring issues.

• Transform insights into enhancements for continuous process and application improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Product Ownership.

• Proven track record of delivering enterprise solutions.

• Experience in context switching between different roles.

• Practical experience with APIs and system integrations.

• Capability to comprehend API documentation, endpoints, request and response structures, authentication methods, error handling, and data mappings.

• Experience in translating business needs into functional and integration requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and system interaction diagrams.

• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Swagger, or OpenAPI.

• Experience leading discovery activities and defining business processes.

• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

• Experience assessing existing tools compared to custom development and third-party integrations.

• Capacity to make recommendations based on value, feasibility, and cost considerations.

• Ability to convert complex business, process, and integration requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery milestones.

• Experience managing UAT cycles and coordinating with stakeholders.

• Strong operational mindset, including post-deployment support, user interaction management, and continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Regular use of AI tools to boost productivity, automate or minimize repetitive tasks, support decision-making, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

• Capability to use AI tools responsibly, structure effective prompts, critically evaluate outputs, understand limitations, and take ownership of the final result.
