Technical Architect – Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and support network services and solutions for consulting clients.

• Mentor colleagues and share technical expertise.

• Cultivate customer-centric relationships to identify business challenges and formulate solution specifications and requirements.

• Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documentation and procedures.

• Deliver large projects in partnership with Project Managers and Practice Leads, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Lead Engineers to guarantee that tasks are executed accurately and within deadlines.

• Act as Lead Engineer on projects that involve multiple technologies.

• Provide daily updates on project status and proactively communicate timelines, hours, resources, and any concerns.

• Facilitate collaboration among different business units to ensure a world-class customer experience.

• Lead meetings with teams and customers.

• Contribute to product selection, research, configuration standards, and best practices.

• Educate sales teams on products and services.

• Collaborate across regional and virtual practices.

• Stay updated on new products and solutions.

• Enhance technical expertise, leadership, certifications, and project experience in line with the Engineering skills matrix.

• Achieve the annual billable-hour target.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a technical field.

• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications, or comparable work experience.

• At least two or more professional-level certifications, such as CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, or MCA.

• Proven experience in designing and architecting network-based solutions.

• Skilled in installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.

• Familiarity with IOS, IOS-XR, and NX-OS.

• Knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.

• Experience with Layer 2 / Layer 3 architecture and design.

• Understanding of multicast and QoS.
