Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create technical architecture designs for corporate platforms and customer solutions across on-premise, data center, and public cloud environments.

• Assess architecture and design alternatives and provide evidence-based recommendations that balance functional and non-functional requirements.

• Collaborate closely with delivery teams to facilitate implementation, including knowledge transfer and hands-on support.

• Engage in the architecture peer review process.

• Present technical designs to the Technical Assurance Board and assist in assurance discussions.

• Contribute to technology roadmaps and explore new and existing technologies for controlled integration.

• Work alongside Security Architects to ensure appropriate workload protection.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies, platforms, and relevant industry trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in producing technical architecture designs.

• Comprehensive understanding of compute, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.

• Capability to balance delivery pressures with design quality and long-term sustainability.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in the UK public sector is highly valued.

• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or OCI is highly valued.

• Experience with server virtualization, networking, and storage is highly valued.

• Existing right to work and travel within the UK.

• Successful completion of vetting, references, and occupational health checks.

• Current Security Check (SC) level or higher, Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 3, or ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearance in addition to the Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
