Senior Unreal Engine C++ Generalist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop gameplay features in collaboration with game design, from the initial design document to launch.

• Create and maintain editor tools and workflows for designers and artists as the game evolves.

• Identify and resolve bugs and performance issues throughout the codebase.

• Ensure the build, testing, and review process remains effective.

• Offer technical insights during the design phase.

• Enhance the team's understanding of Unreal Engine-specific nuances, tools, and functionalities.

• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Team Lead, Game Design department, and Art team.

• Engage in technical interviews and the interview process, which includes feature/tool discussions, code reviews, and in-depth exploration of Unreal Engine.

⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience with C++ in Unreal Engine, having shipped features or tools relied upon by designers and other engineers.

• Experience in various aspects of developing an Unreal Engine game.

• Capability to navigate unfamiliar components of Unreal Engine independently.

• At least two shipped game titles developed using Unreal Engine.

• Experience with, or a passion for, factory automation or game development.

• Proficiency in creating Unreal editor tools such as Slate UI, editor utility widgets, or custom asset types.

• Experience managing features from conception to completion on a small team.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, or build tools.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Availability for collaboration during CET core working hours (approximately 11:00–15:00).
