Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Developing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions across corporate platforms and customer-facing services.

• Converting requirements into high-quality technical architectures that are reliable, operable, and supportable.

• Collaborating closely with delivery teams to facilitate implementation, including knowledge transfer and hands-on assistance when necessary.

• Engaging in the architecture peer review process to uphold high design standards within the practice.

• Presenting technical designs to the Technical Assurance Board and aiding assurance discussions with specialized expertise.

• Contributing to technology roadmaps and exploring new and existing technologies to promote controlled adoption.

• Working in partnership with Security Architects to ensure that designs offer adequate protection for workloads.

• Staying informed about emerging technologies, platforms, and industry trends pertinent to NEC’s services and clientele.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in creating technical architecture designs.

• Strong comprehension of compute, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.

• Ability to balance delivery demands with design quality and long-term sustainability.

• Proficient in articulating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience within the UK public sector, with platforms such as Azure, AWS, or OCI, and technologies like server virtualization, networking, and storage is highly regarded.
