
Technical Application Specialist β Water Treatment/Wastewater

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Performs on-site evaluations for product testing and selection in water treatment applications.
β’ Executes "Coagulation Studies" for drinking water products.
β’ Carries out studies for selecting wastewater products aimed at municipal and industrial clarification.
β’ Conducts sludge dewatering assessments for both municipal and industrial uses.
β’ Engages in coagulation and permanganate demand evaluations, providing treatment recommendations for iron filtration systems.
β’ Aids in sales initiatives for water treatment chemicals across industrial, municipal, and metal finishing sectors.
β’ Supports professional organizations by contributing to training seminars.
β’ Collaborates in the development of new products and applications for Hawkins, Inc.'s offerings.
β’ Implements plant trials for both potable water and wastewater applications.
β’ Diagnoses issues in customer treatment systems and suggests performance enhancement strategies.
β’ Participates in training Hawkins Water Treatment Group staff in both potable and wastewater applications.
β’ Assists the sales team in making recommendations for scale and corrosion treatment in potable water.
β’ A four-year degree or equivalent experience is necessary.
β’ A degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering is preferred.
β’ Experience in the Water/Wastewater technical field is advantageous.
β’ Ability to recognize suitable business opportunities and key personnel within accounts.
β’ Capacity to build trust with customers.
β’ Proven ability to manage a high volume of activity under varying conditions.
β’ Proficient computer skills are essential.
β’ Must be capable of working with computers and software systems, ideally JDE.
β’ Previous sales experience is preferred.
β’ Strong mathematical abilities, including the capability to perform calculations for flow rates, etc.
β’ Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
β’ Strong negotiation capabilities.
β’ Attention to detail is crucial.
β’ Effective organizational and follow-through skills are necessary.
β’ A history of working in a role that demanded autonomy and self-motivation.
β’ Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass drug and background screenings.
