This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.
• Ensure the performance, integrity, and compliance of medical imaging systems and their associated interfaces are optimal.
• Oversee interfaces that connect EMR, RIS, PACS, and voice recognition systems.
• Validate data integrity and enhance image and workflow processes.
• Suggest image-management policies and ensure adherence to federal regulations and imaging standards.
• Evaluate the capabilities of diagnostic imaging modalities.
• Work alongside customers, developers, architects, project managers, and team members to assess requirements and create business solutions.
• Engage in the entire system development lifecycle and maintain project documentation and deliverables.
• Oversee project requirements, timelines, budgets, resources, and defect management.
• Inform stakeholders about downtime, upgrades, workflow modifications, and methodologies.
• Assist in vendor management and analyze vendor solutions through cost-benefit assessments.
• Implement and sustain imaging hardware and software, including performing upgrades and updates.
• Extract data for performance metrics and audits.
• Provide both business and technical support for project and production activities.
• Conduct testing, defect management, integration testing, UAT, implementation checkouts, and post-implementation support.
• Maintain design documents, architecture documents, and flow diagrams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and undertake other assigned responsibilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience and/or education in place of a bachelor's degree.
• Preferred experience in medical imaging systems administration, PACS administration, or a comparable healthcare role.
• Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Experience in the Health Insurance or Healthcare Industry is preferred.
• Proficient in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
• Strong comprehension of DICOM and HL7 standards.
• Familiar with network configurations, transmission protocols, and server management.
• Experience in hardware and software implementation, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Capability to extract and analyze data for performance metrics.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Commitment to customer service excellence.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Adaptable and enthusiastic about learning new technologies.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended durations, perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must adhere to HIPAA regulations, data security guidelines, company policies, and applicable laws.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
• No additional language proficiency required.
• Position is remote-based.
• Travel requirement of 25% - 50%.
• Participation in an on-call rotation schedule.
• Occasional training of others.
