Technical Accounts Quality Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS 102, FRS 102 1A, and IFRS, with a focus on intricate consolidated financial statements.

• Oversee workflows to guarantee timely delivery.

• Assess supporting working papers for clarity, completeness, and readiness for client presentation.

• Ensure that balances are supported and reconciled with underlying records.

• Verify disclosures and presentation for accuracy and consistency.

• Employ a practical and commercial mindset in financial reporting.

• Provide clear, actionable feedback to preparers to promote continuous service improvement.

• Collaborate closely with the Accounts Pod and onshore teams to facilitate a streamlined, proactive delivery process.

• Identify recurring issues and assist in enhancing templates and processes.

• Ensure outputs meet client needs, tax compliance, and are suitable for future periods.

• Supervise the technical accuracy and quality of outputs.

• Confirm that adjustments are justified and necessary, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and the Companies Act.

⛳️ Requirements

• CA (SA) qualification.

• At least 4 years of accounting experience.

• Strong technical proficiency in IFRS, FRS 102, and consolidation accounting.

• Demonstrated capability to oversee the quality of complex financial reporting deliverables.

• Prior experience in team management.

• Proficient in drafting financial statements using Caseware.

• Previous experience in management accounting and balance sheet reconciliation is desirable.

• Solid understanding of debits, credits, and accounting adjustments.

• Experience using Inflo to gather client information is desirable.

• Ability to identify technical disclosure issues.

• Previous experience in bookkeeping or preparation and review of financial statements.

• Experience collaborating with remote or international teams is desirable.

• UK tax experience is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
