This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Execute monthly revenue and gross-to-net accounting activities, ensuring precise and timely revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606.
• Take ownership of the calculation, review, and analysis of gross-to-net reserves and adjustments, which encompass rebates, chargebacks, returns, discounts, and other revenue deductions.
• Create revenue-related journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, perform analyses, and prepare supporting schedules.
• Collaborate with Forecasting, FP&A, Market Access, Commercial, and Patient Access teams to enhance gross-to-net forecasting methodologies and assumptions.
• Assess revenue-related contracts and commercial agreements, preparing technical accounting analyses and memoranda.
• Observe and evaluate gross-to-net trends, payer dynamics, and reimbursement changes to deliver actionable business insights.
• Lead SOX compliance initiatives, internal controls, audit support, and process documentation pertinent to revenue and gross-to-net accounting.
• Assist in commercialization efforts, including new product launches, payer contracting strategies, and changes in distribution channels.
• Propel process optimization, automation projects, and system enhancements to boost efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy.
• Aid in developing and mentoring accounting team members while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Partner with Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting teams to fulfill quarterly and annual reporting obligations.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is mandatory.
• CPA certification is essential.
• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in ASC 606 revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting.
• Prior experience in public accounting is required; experience with Big 4 firms is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in leading complex accounting processes, cross-functional initiatives, and audit endeavors.
• Experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical sector, with a solid understanding of pharmaceutical commercial revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting under ASC 606.
