This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the software development team by coaching and nurturing our employees through individual development plans, conducting one-on-one sessions, creating action plans, and providing timely feedback;
• Assist team members in embracing agile methodologies by facilitating ceremonies integral to the squad’s approach, including planning sessions, backlog refinements, and retrospectives;
• Eliminate obstacles that hinder team progress;
• Cultivate an atmosphere of respect and trust alongside team members, adjusting your leadership style to suit various circumstances;
• Navigate through the organization to identify crucial opportunities and roles essential for the team's success;
• Coordinate initiatives that involve multiple teams to ensure the product's success;
• Host sessions with all stakeholder types to present recent outcomes, collect feedback/insights, and align on the product roadmap;
• Convey complex technical information clearly and succinctly to diverse stakeholders;
• Collaboratively establish the squad’s vision and mission with team members;
• Consistently track product metrics, business metrics, and technical indicators, assessing, enhancing, and communicating objectives and the status of team initiatives;
• Engage in product discovery processes, problem mapping, and incident resolutions;
• Contribute to formulating product/squad objectives and key metrics, regularly updating stakeholders on these results (OKRs);
• Create a software delivery process and maintain a consistent, healthy pace;
• Balance competing needs and priorities, taking accountability and risks in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment;
• Prior experience in leading software development teams focused on digital products;
• Strong technical expertise (former developer or architect) with the capacity to discuss software architecture, integrations, and engineering best practices;
• Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain) and an understanding of language model operations (for technical oversight, not necessarily hands-on);
• Experience in process, product, or service improvement initiatives;
• Proficient in facilitation and problem-solving techniques;
• Experience collaborating with agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc.);
• Proven track record of leading teams through technology and/or process modernization or migration;
