This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Oversees the creation, development, and/or revision of operational policies, procedures, and strategies for managing the contract lifecycle.
• Manages the drafting, negotiation, and approval processes of contract documents, including the investigation and resolution of contract-related issues, in compliance with corporate policies and legal standards.
• Handles all administrative responsibilities associated with contract execution, such as routing, signing, scanning, and organizing contract documents.
• Provides expert guidance to internal business teams and contract personnel on corporate objectives and goals related to contract activities.
• Conducts training sessions to ensure that the deliverables from internal business teams and contract staff align with corporate contracting standards.
• Develops contract personnel to take on more intricate contract responsibilities.
• Reviews the output of contract staff for completeness and accuracy (quality), reallocates tasks as necessary to manage workload fluctuations (quantity), and tracks metrics against business requirements, reporting status and key issues to the Director of Contracts.
• Collaborates with sales teams to understand upcoming contract requirements for new agreements and renewals.
• Works with legal counsel to develop, maintain, and update contract templates and guidelines to ensure consistent general terms and conditions.
• Promotes continuous improvement by overseeing and engaging in special projects.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, J.D. preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent line management skills, including effective delegation and prioritization.
• Capability to develop, prioritize, and achieve goals.
• Ability to ensure consistency and drive results in a team environment.
• Proficient in working with various levels of seniority, including staff, other managers, and external partners.
• Skills in analyzing and enhancing business processes.
• Familiarity with contract documents and specifications.
• Understanding of legal requirements related to contracts.
• Experience with a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system is a plus.
• Proficient with online meeting and web conferencing tools.
• Proficient with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Travel as required, up to 10%.
